so after getting a Genesis a few years ago, I of course wanted to try the Genesis version of the game. Sega genesis baseball games list Pc#The PC version of Hardball III was the one baseball game I owned for years back in the early to mid '90s, and I really, really loved it. Sega genesis baseball games list series#The series was a PC series originally though, lasting until the late '90s, and once being the best and most popular baseball game series on the platform. There is only one on SNES, Hardball III, which is actually a version of Hardball '94. There are four Hardball games on Genesis - Hardball, Hardball III, Hardball '94, and Hardball '95. Hardball III, Hardball '94, and Hardball '95 all have this feature. How many Genesis baseball games allow you to save your game in progress? Not your season progress, I mean that at any time during a game, you can pause, save, and continue the game later. WinRAR is able to decompress it, as is 7-zip itself. Sega genesis baseball games list archive#I also liked the busty blond announcer at the end:)ħz is 7-zip, an archive similar to WinRAR and WinZip. One of the better 16-bit baseball games I've played to be sure. The pitching was fun and reminded me of World Class Baseball for the Turbografx in that you could guide the ball inflight for some crazy pitches. I enjoyed the fact that the hitting and ball animations were done so well. If you turned on a pitch, the animation and resultant trajectory just felt right as it pulled foul. Navigating menus with no knowledge of Mandarin ![]() Iffy strike zone (a lot of pitches that looked like they went over the plate were called a ball) Overhead view graphics were a bit simplistic Animation for throwing ball from pitcher to catcher was to slow (with no way of skipping that I could see) possible to strike them out, but they were tough batters) Computer batter difficulty was good (i.e. Animation for a beaned batter was awesome Semi-automated fielding makes for easy gameplay but still under player's control Hitting and pitching mechanic simple and fun I enjoyed the game quite a bit, although I lost 3-0:) I found one that was zipped and I easily unzipped it and was off and running. I don't know if that means they were compressed, but neither my compression utilities nor Kega recognized the format. The first couple I found had a "7z" extension. I finally managed to find a ROM that worked. Any other thoughts? What's do you think is the best baseball game on the genesis? I was also thinking of picking up one of the many iterations of Hardball on the Genny. ![]() I read a good review of Sports Talk Baseball and it looked like fun on YouTube. I used to really enjoy Hardball on my Mac way back in the day. I never cared much for WSB (I know, blasphemy) due to the digitized batters. I enjoy arcadey, hand drawn baseball games that rely on timing to hit pitches (and not placement of the bat, like most 3d baseball games). That said, I've had a hankering to play some 16-bit baseball. But even baseball I tired of, as sports games are just too narrow in scope to be entertaining for all that long (at least, for me). I never liked video basketball, although NBA Jam was and still is fun. ![]() I used to play some football and baseball games back in the day, and even continue through to about the N64 (at least with baseball). the Evil Legion of Dr.Let me preface this by saying I've come to detest sports games over the years.
